Midnight Swim will perform folk-flavoured interpretations of traditional celtic tunes, songs from the 60s through to today, and fresh original pieces. Inspired by artists as varied as Paul Simon, the Wailin' Jennies and Billie Eilish, this concert will be an opportunity for Midnight Swim to showcase complex vocal arrangements of well-loved and not so well-known musical gems.The band's five vocalists, Susy Peddie, Lydia Stallard, Rachel Pemberton, Emily Wragg and Evie Rainey, and guitarist Dunstan Blay, formed Midnight Swim in 2021, and have since performed at venues all around Nelson, in Wellington, and at Nelson Opera in the Park last year. Their sound blends close vocal harmonies with lively arrangements and varied instrumental accompaniment.
