A journey to Lindisfarne, a magical tidal island also called Holy Island, to visit Lindisfarne Castle and the ancient village of Lindisfarne as well as visiting Berwick-Upon-Tweed, or simply Berwick, a beautiful town Northumberland, England.

About the Tour

This is an exciting journey to the beautiful East Coast of England to visit Lindisfarne – also known as the mysterious tidal Holy Island off the Northumberland coast; one of the most important centres of early English Christianity where Irish monks settled in AD 635. We will visit the ancient village of Lindisfarne in the tidal Holy Island to enjoy the striking sea views overlooking the the historic Lindisfarne Castle and the picturesque rocky beach as well as its picturesque harbour, Lindisfarne Priory and St Mary the Virgin Church and the cute local Cafe Shops and Souvenir Shops. This amazing island is a hidden treasure and the scenery will leave you speechless. This tour also includes visiting Berwick-Upon-Tweed, or simply Berwick, a beautiful town Northumberland, England, and central to historic border wars between the Kingdoms of England and Scotland. You will have plenty of time to visit this gorgoeus town, its notable architectural features, in particular its medieval town walls, its Georgian Town Hall, its Elizabethan ramparts and picturesque bridges.This is truly a fun-filled Day Trip to appreciate dramatic scenery on the East Coast, historic castles and beaches. Entry to the attractions is not included.

There will be time for a lunch break in restaurants, however, you can also bring your own packed lunch. Bring with you lots of smiles, a camera, warm clothes, proper walking / hiking shoes, an ID, a bottle of water and snacks. We will also have tea/coffee and toilet breaks throughout the journey.
