Holy Island, Lindisfarne Castle and Tantallon Castle Day Trip
A journey to Lindisfarne, a magical tidal island also called Holy Island to visit the coastal Lindisfarne Castle (only the grounds of the castle) and ancient Lindisfarne Priory and to the impressive and historic Tantallon Castle (photo stop) in Scotland.

- Lindisfarne and Holy Island: Discover a beautiful ancient village of Lindisfarne and Holy Island.
- Lindisfarne Castle: Take a stroll along the cliff pathways towards a historic castle and enjoy the stunning and breathtaking views overlooking the North Sea. (Please note, we will only have access to the grounds of castle - no entry to the caslte).
- Castle Point Lime Kilns: Walk to the Castle Point to see Lime Kilns once used to create quicklime in the 19th century
- Tantallon Castle: Admire a grand medieval castle set high on a cliff edge which was once home to the Red Douglas dynasty. (Photo stop)

About the Tour
This is an exciting journey to the beautiful East Coast of Scotland and England to visit Lindisfarne – also known as the myserious tidal Holy Island off the Northumberland coast; one of the most important centres of early English Christianity where Irish monks settled in AD 635. We will visit the ancient village of Lindisfarne in the tidal Holy Island to enjoy the striking sea views overlooking the the historic Lindisfarne Castle and the picturesque rocky beach forming the backdrop's well as its picturesque harbour, Lindisfarne Priory and St Mary the Virgin Church and the cute local Cafe Shops and Souvenir Shops. This amazing island is a hidden treasure and the scenry will leave you speechless. This tour also includes a photo stop on the Scotland East Coast to admire the imposing and impressive Tantallon Castle, a grand medieval castle set high on a cliff edge which was once home to the Red Douglas dynasty. Please note, we will not enter to visit the castles on this tour, however, we will have access to the grounds of the Lindisfarne Castle and we can see the Tantallon Castle from far and we will enjoy the stunning views in surrounding area. This is truly a fun-filled Day Trip to appreciate dramatic scenery on the East Coast, historic castles and beaches .

Lunch / Things to bring with you
There will be time for a lunch break in restaurants, however, you can also bring your own packed lunch. Bring with you lots of smiles, a camera, warm clothes, proper walking / hiking shoes, an ID, a bottle of water and snacks. We will also have tea/coffee and toilet breaks throughout the journey.
