Holly Hall's Book Review

Holly Hall is celebrating 75 years as Houston's first fully licensed retirement community. On April 16, 2026, 2:00-4:00pm, join us for a Book Review event with author, Robert T. Sakowitz. Mr. Robert Sakowitz will be interviewed by our special guest emcee, Frank Billingsley, about his newest book, More Than a Store: Three Decades of Tulmultous Changes 1960-1990.

Mr. Sakowitz was famous for running his family's store, Sakowitz. Years later, many Houstonians have fond memories of shopping at Sakowitz or having a special afternoon in their tea room. We will be serving their renownded "shrimp salad" at the reception following the show.
