About this Event
Join the Salisbury Centre once again in welcoming spring and colour to our lives with Holi and Spring Equinox Celebration!
Also known as the Festival of Spring, the Festival of Colours and the Festival of Love, Holi is a celebration originating as a Hindu tradition to welcome the arrival of spring and the blossoming of love. It is a festive day to meet others, play and laugh, forget and forgive, and welcome the vibrancy of spring.
On the day, there will be creative and communal activites to take part in, and the event will close with a closing ritual around the garden fire. Expect powder throwing, circle dancing and fun games in the centre garden!
This event is open for everyone to participate, and the garden where it will be held is accessible for all folks.
This year, event tickets can be purchased at a fixed price. The ticket funds contribute towards the cost of the coloured powder, the booking and maintenance of the garden space, as well as supporting the Salisbury Centre and the head facilitator.
