You know the beloved tavern, and you may have even been inside one of the iconic rowhouses. But do you know all of the rich history of Altoona's Knickerbocker neighborhood? Coming up on Wednesday, May 20 at 7:00 PM, our next History Speaks lecture on "The Knickerbocker Historic District in Altoona" will explore that very subject! Presented by Dr. Michael Farrow, this lecture will dive into the story of the Knickerbocker neighborhood and explore the origins and historic significance of the Knickerbocker Tavern, existing rowhouses, and more!
This presentation will take place over at the Railroaders Memorial Museum's theater room, and admission is FREE and open to the public. However, donations to the Blair County Historical Society are welcome.
