The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Altoona is excited to announce its much-anticipated fundraiser, the Art for Your Heart 5K Run & Walk, taking place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine. This heart-healthy community event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels to run, walk, and celebrate wellness while supporting the arts. Every step taken helps sustain SAMA’s exhibitions, educational programs, and outreach initiatives that enrich lives throughout the region.The scenic race route begins and ends at SAMA Altoona, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy the outdoors while connecting with the community. Professional timing and results will be provided by Miles of Smiles Timing Services, ensuring accurate, high-quality race-day tracking for all participants. Pre-registration is $25, with race-day registration available for $35. Participants who register by April 30, 2026, are guaranteed an official Art for Your Heart 5K t-shirt.
Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group, as well as the top three overall. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals looking to make a meaningful impact. Join us and help champion the arts—one step at a time.
