Family stories fade if they are not shared. As part of its First Weekend programming, the Pioneer Museum has slated its first ever History Harvest on Friday, March 6 at 3 p.m. The goal of the History Harvest is to share and preserve the artifacts and stories of Gillespie County’s first families. The event will feature a variety of presenters who will provide brief oral histories, family stories or a show and tell of a family heirloom or artifact.
Featured speakers in March will be:
-Tim Dooley: Owner of Dooley's 5-10-25c store
-Evelyn Weinheimer: Johann Leyendecker, the first teacher in Fredericksburg
-Dave Schafer
