Join us for two delightful days exploring the charming neighborhood of Lockerbie Square and experiencing the beauty and history of this unique area. A wide variety of homes—from restored and renovated structures to modern gems—will be on display, showcasing the architectural diversity and vitality of the city’s oldest surviving neighborhood.
This in-person event is a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich architecture and picturesque streets that make Lockerbie Square so special. Don't miss this chance to step back in time while enjoying a day of beauty, history, and inspiration!
2026 TOUR TICKETS COMING MID-SUMMER
WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Tour approximately 10 unique homes in the historic Lockerbie Square neighborhood, showcasing a mix of historic charm and modern living.
- Self-guided walking tour — start at any tour location and visit the homes in whatever order you choose.
- Step inside the homes and experience the architecture, design, and character of one of Indianapolis’s most historic neighborhoods.
- Knowledgeable docents will be in every home to share historical insights, architectural details, and answer questions.
TOUR DETAILS
- When: Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, 2026 – you pick which day you want to attend
- Time: 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. each day
- Price: Ticket price is $25 presale or $30 the day of the tour. Children 12 and under are FREE. Tickets will go on sale on Eventbrite mid-summer.
- Parking: Free parking will be available at several lots in the neighborhood.
- Weather: The home tour will go on rain or shine.
- Restrooms: Restrooms will be available at the Visitor Center at the James Whitcomb Riley Home.

The Historic Lockerbie Square Home & Garden Tour was revived in 2024 after a 20-year hiatus to raise funds for the restoration and repair of the neighborhood’s historic alleys. 100% of the tour proceeds support alley restoration and neighborhood improvements.
