Come join the Hissfits July 17th, 18th and 19th, 2026 in beautiful Wild & Wonderful West Virginia for three days of Slalom Racing and Comradery. This year we are beyond Stoked to be the Host of US Nationals!
The Rattler-US Nationals is a major sanctioned ISSA-International Slalom Skateboard Association National Championship event. All three race days will be at the HISS Sanctuary located at Little Creek Park, South Charleston.
Rattler-Nationals 2026 will have Pro and Amateur courses for Giant, Hybrid and Tight disciplines. Due to this being a Major ranked race and the predicted turn out, practice will be limited to two practice runs per course and will be monitored for fairness.
Ramps will be set up the night before the race. Mellow S-shaped start Ramps will be set for head to head racing. The HISS Paralyzer will return for Giant slalom, but a smaller S-shaped ramp will also be available.
The course and timing system will be set every morning for Pro's and reset for the Am's after Pro racing and lunch. Racers will not be allowed to run the courses before their set practice times.
We will be using the Trackmate timing system for the Tight and Hybrid races and a single lane digital timer will be used for Giant Slalom.
*Masters will get to vote on which course they will run prior to the event so that the spreadsheets for time keeping can be created and ready for racing.
*If six or more Amateur Women are racing they will compete in their own bracket.

We will break for lunch and set the Amateur course.
1:30pm Juniors, Amateurs and Masters (If they vote to run the Am course) racers meeting.
1:45pm Amateur Giant Slalom Practice will start.

We'll wrap up this awesome weekend Sunday evening with an awards ceremony at a site to be determined. Previous years we hung out under the Pavilion, but I'm looking into a close off-site location with food and drink!
1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be awarded for each discipline and for Over-All results to Pro Men, Pro Women, Amateur Men, Amateur Women, Masters and Juniors.
Overall Pro Men and Pro Women 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will also equally share the prize purse.
There is plenty to do for the entire family within the park: hiking and mountain biking trails, disc golf, two tennis courts, two basketball courts and playgrounds.
Adjacent to Little Creek Park is Little Creek Park golf course and they have a swimming pool!!
We're looking forward to seeing returning racers to the Sanctuary again this year and ready to welcome first timers. We can't wait to see who will roll away a US Champion at Rattler-US Nationals 2026! Will it be you??
