Welcome to the Hippocratic Society!

Join us for the next meeting of the Toronto chapter of the Hippocratic Society. We will spend time discussing a case on the virtue of sincerity in the practice of medicine.
What is the Hippocratic Society?
The Hippocratic Society is a medical professional society that promotes the moral and professional formation of its members from premedical training onward. Through mutual study, dialogue, and practice, participants train their attention on exemplars of virtues such as courage, patience, generosity, and sincerity, while they practice cultivating such virtues in themselves.
In dialogue with seminal texts from the arts and humanities, participants contemplate the nature of the human person and of human health, learning to orient and integrate the use of medical science and technology. They seek to help fellow practitioners and future practitioners flourish in their practice as they seek to become good physicians.

Who is invited to participate?
The Hippocratic Society welcomes medical students, interested pre-medical students, resident physicians, and practicing physicians in the Toronto area to participate.
