This weeks "weekly night hike" will target some of the hills of the Mighty Wissahickon. We will be moving quickly to accomplish our goal of about 6.5 miles and ??? feet of elevation. Average pace expected about 3.2-3.5 mph. This hike is geared toward cardio conditioning as we dive into the hiking season full throttle.
We do our best to stick together and look out for one another. But if you are struggling, you may need to find your way back to car. Best to have a buddy if you are unsure.
Gear required: hiking footwear as there will be plenty of rocks and roots,
headlamp and water.
Light rain or shine event. Heavy rain or storms will cancel.
PARKING AND MEETING LOCATION: We will meet at the corner of W Willow Grove Ave and Cherokee Streets.....very(http://Streets.....very) close to Wissahickon Skating Club (see Meetup location Pin). There is parking on W Willow Grove and some other surrounding streets. Please allow time to park and get to meeting location.
