High Intensity Legs & Lungs | Jurassic Coast Edition
Join Madmule Fitness for a structured, high-intensity hill session on the iconic lumps of Flower Barrow and Warbarrow Bay. This is a dedicated training block designed to stress-test your climbing, descending, and gear prep on one of the most spectacular sections of the Jurassic Coast.
What’s Included for £10:
Coached Activation: A 15-minute warm-up to prep for steep climbing.
GPX Data: Digital route file provided 24 hours in advance for watch/phone navigation.
Technical Markers: Physical turnaround points on the course so you can stay "in the zone."
Post run Q&A on poles, descending, pacing and how to fuel for 1000m+ days.
The Mission
Starting from Pondfield Cove, The lap holds 2 stiff climbs, one short, one long, forming 2 out-and-back efforts. Whether you are using poles, a heavy race pack, or just testing your lungs, this is your benchmark session.
The Numbers:
2 Laps ( 4 miles / 6.4km): ~1800ft ascent.
3 Laps (6 miles / 10km): ~2700ft ascent.
4 Laps (8 miles / 12.8km): ~3600ft ascent.
Itinerary & Logistics
09:00: Gates to Tyneham Car Park open (Recommended £4 donation for parking).
09:15: Coached Briefing & Mobility Drills.
09:30: 1km warm up jog to Pondfield Cove and start the H.I.L.L. session.
11:45: Cool down and return to the car park for a post-run coffee at the mobile café.
Recommended Kit:
Trail shoes (essential for steep, rocky/muddy terrain).
Hydration and fuel for a 3-hour window.
Weather-appropriate layers and a fully charged mobile.
Poles and blister kits are highly recommended.

Cost: £10 per person Includes coached activation, GPX route mapping, pacing support and coaching tips for the hill, turn points marked.
’ll be on the hill observing your technique. At the end, we’ll do a group Q&A on pole technique, descending footwork, and how to fuel for 1000m+ days.
This is the perfect opportunity to bank a hard training block with a crew of like-minded folk heading toward elevation-heavy goals. UTS, Lakes, Brecon Ultras, European Mountain races.

INSURANCE
Participation in the session is entirely at the runners' own risk. Runners waive the right to make any claim against the organisers in the event of injury or consequences that may arise subsequent to
the training session.
At the time of starting the session, runners are required to sign a consent form to complete the
registration process.
Runners are strongly advised to take out personal injury insurance in case of accidents during their outdoor training and races.
