Welcome to the opening of Sunk in a Sea of Silver, a solo exhibition by Hilda Randulv, at Gallery Rotor 2, Teatergatan 5, Göteborg.Randulv’s work explores the theme of absence, drawing inspiration from her experience of drifting in and out of consciousness during childhood while growing up with epilepsy. As a portrait photographer, her fascination with the interplay of absence and presence has led her to explore facial expressions that seem to vanish, with a particular focus on the subtlety of microexpressions. The exhibition is presented alongside her brother, musician Hugo Randulv, whose second solo album Drunkna i ljus was recently released and will be played in conjunction with the works.
