Welcome to the Highland Park Literary Festival Community Keynote Event!

The Highland Park Literary Festival (HP LitFest) is excited to welcome Blake Crouch, bestselling author of Dark Matter and Recursion and screenwriter of Apple TV+ series Dark Matter, as the featured speaker for this year’s Community Keynote Event on February 19, 2026, in the Highland Park High School Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the program will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

Blake Crouch is an acclaimed novelist and screenwriter. His novels include Upgrade, Recursion, Dark Matter, and the Wayward Pines trilogy. His Pines trilogy was adapted into a television series for Fox, and he also co-created the TNT show Good Behavior, based on his Letty Dobesh novellas. He currently acts as head writer and showrunner for the hit Apple TV+ adaptation of Dark Matter, starring Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connolly.
