? Support a Unique Artistic Initiative: Donate to our ACF! ?Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We are excited to announce a collaboration that will bring together two incredible platforms: Hidden Movements (HM) and Make-Shift Evenings. This six-day creative incubator, happening in late September 2024, will be a game-changer for WA’s performing arts community.
HM, founded in 2018, is a creative development and mentorship program designed to elevate WA performance makers. With a focus on choreography, improvisation, and performance, HM provides vital opportunities through one-on-one mentoring, peer feedback, self-directed learning, and guided reflection.
Make-Shift Evenings is a bi-monthly platform for improvisers and performers to test their limits and share their practice in a supportive, low-fi environment. It’s a space where spontaneity and risk-taking thrive, with each performance followed by discussions that deepen the connection between artists and audiences.
Why We Need Your Support:
By bringing these two platforms together, we aim to:
Empower Artists: Offer essential, paid professional development opportunities not available elsewhere in the country.
Engage Audiences: Provide a richer connection to and understanding of WA artists.
Strengthen the Arts Community: Create a thriving cultural activity that ensures sustainability and longevity for our sector.
We can’t do this without you. Your donations will directly support venue hire, documentation costs, and most importantly, artist fees. Every contribution, big or small, helps make this vision a reality.
