About this Event
On the occasion of the International Day of the Girl 2025, Comites Scotland and Northern Ireland and the Lord Provost of Glasgow are proud to host a small conference event dedicated to celebrating the achievements of Italian women in Scotland.
Featuring an all-female panel, the event aims to highlight inspiring stories of personal and professional success, showcasing the strength, resilience, and talent of women in our community.
Designed to empower and uplift, the event aims to be a source of inspiration for younger girls and future generations, reinforcing the importance of ambition, determination, and representation.
The event is included in this year's Glasgow 850th Anniversary celebrations and will take place on Thursday, 9th October at 6pm, in the beautiful setting of The Satinwood Suite at Glasgow City Chambers.
The speakers will share a few thoughts, insights, memories, anecdotes etc on the theme of the extra challenges we face, firstly as women, and secondly as women from an Italian background. Comites Vice President Michela Calcagni will moderate.
The panel discussion will be followed by live musical entertainment and a drinks and canapés reception.
