Welcome to Here I Am – The Live Showcase! Join Tonia Richii & Friends at Ocaña for the world premiere event of Here I Am. Your ticket includes one drink of Rum Punch and 3.5hrs of live culture. This event will be in Spanish (with some English.)
‘Here I Am’ is originally an aspirational spoken word short, filmed in Barcelona, that lends itself to the curious and voices unity across black lives. This motion picture blends societal ignorance with communal hope, exploring and celebrating themes of Pan Africanism and humane common sense to influence everyday change. Tonia´s short film mission is delicately positioned as she states “I wish not to seek your flaws, nor do I wish for your pain nor war… Our beauty, our kindness, our cultures – please don´t abuse it.”
The Live Showcase will be a celebratory programme of Afrodescent artists and citizens, featuring the premiere of ‘Here I Am’ the short film and to share conversations and vibes in safe space.
What to expect?
• Exclusive Screening of short film ‘Here I Am’ – the film will be in English with Spanish subtitles
• Q&A Panel w/ cast and culture influencers
• Live Performances by singer-songwriter Tonia Richii + drummer Jay Kalo
• Poetry from Gabriela Nuru + acoustic set from Leo Mendes
• Plus DJ set from CHES (Nu Soul, Hip Hop, Afro-beat and Latin sounds) for the culture.
Important - your ticket is inclusive of one rum punch or one fruit punch drink. Our Rum Punch will be made by the mixologists of Ocaña with a Caribbean rum to set the vibe right. For non-drinkers, a delicious nonalcoholic fruit punch will alternatively be served.

'Here I Am’ es originalmente un cortometraje de palabra hablada aspiracional, grabada en Barcelona, l que se presta a los curiosos y expresa la unidad en las vidas de las personas negras. ‘Here I Am’ combina la ignorancia social con la esperanza comunitaria, explorando y celebrando temas del panafricanismo y el sentido común humano como medio para influir en el cambio cotidiano. La misión del cortometraje para Tonia esta delicadamente posicionado cuando dice “No pretendo señalar tus defectos, ni te deseo dolor ni guerra… Nuestra belleza, nuestra bondad, nuestras culturas – por favor no lo abuses.”
El showcase en vivo será una programación celebratoria de artistas y ciudadanos afrodescendientes, presentando el estreno del corto ‘Here I Am’ y para compartir conversaciones y vibraciones en un lugar seguro.

Importante - tu entrada tiene incluido una consumición de ponche (ron o sin alcohol). El ponche de ron será creado por los mixólogos de Ocaña con un ron caribeño para acertar con la vibra. Para los no bebedores, se servirá un ponche delicioso de frutas sin alcohol como alternativa.
