About this Event
Here’s the bitter truth, babe...
Bitter herbs have long been used in beverages for both sensory pleasure and straight-up ancient medicine. Digestive bitters (those fancy bottles behind the bar, yes) are one solution to chronic digestive woes like gas, bloating, sluggish digestion, and constipation. They're also the coolest way to elevate any kind of drink, from the schmansiest cocktails to plain ol' bubbly water.
Join Denver-based herbalist Liz Faermark of Talk Wild Herbs for a workshop on herbal bitters and their benefits. In this class, folks will learn about the importance of bitters: why we might use them, how they work in the body, and commonly used herbs. Then, we'll spend time making our own custom bitter blends using aromatic herbs and flowers, fruits, kitchen spices, and spirits.
Get a leg up on Dry January and make your self a handy lil bottle of delicious (and useful) herbal magic. All supplies will be provided. Plus, you'll take home a zine summarizing the night's teachings. 💋
Sober? No problem. Alcohol-free options will be made available.
🌼 Pssst! Ticket holders will receive 10% off on Strawberry Mountain purchases between 5-6 pm before class begins! So, make sure you stop by before class! 🌼
