About this Event
Join us for a powerful, high-energy day where community, culture, and purpose come together. This Market Day & Open Mic is designed to raise awareness, raise funds, and send our girls to Ghana this summer for a life-changing journey rooted in identity, leadership, and global connection.
Throughout the day, you will experience a vibrant marketplace filled with local vendors, small businesses, and entrepreneurs offering a variety of goods including clothing, art, beauty products, and more. Enjoy food trucks serving great eats, spaces to relax and connect, and a wellness and cooling station to keep everyone refreshed. Guests are invited to shop, eat, and move freely through a space designed for connection, creativity, and celebration.
The stage will bring the event to life with open mic performances, live entertainment, youth talent, storytelling, and special invited guests. Experience African drumming and dancing, line dancing, and moments that celebrate culture, expression, and joy. This is a space where voices are uplifted, talent is showcased, and the community is invited to engage, participate, and be inspired.
This event is also a fundraiser, and every part of it is connected to impact. One hundred percent of vendor table fees go directly toward supporting each girl’s travel expenses. Participants will also host their own table, selling “I Sent a Girl to Ghana” T-shirts created alongside their families—offering another way for the community to support while connecting directly to their journey.
Special Guest: Clovia Lawrence!
Clovia Lawrence, aka "Miss Community Clovia" on 99.3/105.7 Kiss FM will be kicking off our Pop-Up Market! Join us at 12pm to hear her kick off the event.
In addition to shopping and entertainment, enjoy hands-on art activities, door prizes, raffles, giveaways, and opportunities to engage more deeply with the mission. We invite you to come out, bring your family and friends, and be part of a day filled with purpose, energy, and connection.
Rain or Shine
This event will take place rain or shine. If weather conditions require, the full experience will transition indoors to the school gym so the day can continue safely and comfortably.
