About this Event
The next in a series of walks to tie in with the launch of the book 'Wild Swimming Walks Thames & West'. Starting from the station, 8 miles along the famous regatta stretch of the Thames, up the hill and through the woods to the pretty village of Hambleden (possibility of a stop at the cafe or pub), then back via the impressive Hambleden weir. Probably two swims. As ever all welcome including those just wanting to walk not swim, wear whatever you usually walk in and bring whatever you like to swim in and a packed lunch. If coming from London the suggested train is the 9:08 from Paddington, change at Twyford, arrive 9:57. One can also park at Henley station. Finish time of17:00 is an estimate. NB you both swim and walk at your own risk, these walks do not have a qualified organiser or insurance.
