Helmut Lachenmann, the iconoclastic elder statesman of the avant garde, also celebrates a big birthday in 2025โhis 90th. Notorious for his radical use of unconventional techniques and textures, Lachenmann challenges the very essence of music, creating a visceral experience that captivates and challenges listeners.
