Held - Full Moon Conscious Connected Breathwork Journey
Katie & Alex welcome you to Held, to release what you've been holding with the energy of the May Full Moon. Join us for a 90 minute, trauma-informed somatic breathwork journey on Saturday 30 May at MoreYoga Dalston 1.30-3pm.
Conscious Connected Breathwork is a powerful circular, active breathing technique that helps the body close the loop on incomplete stress responses. Think of this like your deep nervous system reset — not just calming the mind, but clearing what’s underneath it.
Perfect for beginners and seasoned breathers alike, the session will start with talking through the breathwork techniques and tools we'll use, as well as sensations that might arise, after which we will drop into a grounding meditation to set intentions for the journey. We'll breathe for around 30 mins, then spend plenty of time integrating and resting. There'll also be time to share before we close the container together.
Whether this is your first or 100th session, we encourage you to arrive with an open heart, a curious mind, and a gentle trust in the wisdom of the breath and body. Expectations can sometimes limit the experience, and no two sessions are the same, but setting an intention can be a powerful guide. You may already have one, or you may allow it to emerge when you arrive in the space.
Yoga mats, bolsters and blankets will be provided. To support a comfortable and seamless experience, we recommend bringing the following with you:
- Water
- Tissues
- Loose layers of clothing that allow you to move freely
- A journal & pen for capturing any insights you receive
- An eye mask
Where possible, please avoid eating a heavy meal or drinking caffeine 1.5-2 hours before the session. We also recommend avoiding strong perfumes or scents, as these can affect how deeply you’re able to settle into the breath.
Please note, conscious connected breathwork is NOT suitable for individuals with any of the medical or psychological conditions mentioned below. By booking, you confirm you've read the contraindications and none apply to you, or you've discussed your situation with us:
• Cardiovascular conditions (including high or abnormal blood pressure, heart disease, history of heart attack or stroke, aneurysms)
• Respiratory conditions such as severe asthma
• Neurological conditions including epilepsy or history of seizures
• Eye conditions such as glaucoma or detached retina
• Osteoporosis or recent physical injury or surgery
• Uncontrolled thyroid conditions or diabetes
• Severe mental health conditions, including but not limited to psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or individuals currently experiencing acute emotional or psychological distress
• Pregnancy
If you have any other medical or mental health conditions, or any concerns about your ability to participate, please consult with a qualified healthcare professional before attending. Please disclose any relevant conditions to us prior to the session, so we can adjust the experience for you accordingly.
Doors open at 1.15pm, please arrive by 1.25pm latest.
