Step back in time to hear Heinrich Schuetz's aetherially beautiful funeral music - the glory of 17th-century Venice meets the drama of Monteverdi's opera, through the voice of the greatest 17th-century German composer. The Metropolitan Festival Choir and Soloists are joined by a massive continuo section including positive, harpsichord, regal, theorbo, church organ and violone.
