Hedgehogs have been in the news recently (a 2 minute extract on Wild London featuring David Attenborough) as well as a BBC news feature on what hedgehogs get up to after dark.GREG is happy to build on this interest with a special family-friendly event on Saturday June 6th.
Our adorable prickly friends are great to have in any garden, not least because they gobble up the slugs and bugs that attack our plants. Sadly, hedgehog numbers have declined drastically in the last few years, and they are now listed as vulnerable to extinction..
Join us at this free event for an engaging talk from Hugh Warwick: spokesperson for the British Hedgehog Preservation Society and a fantastic speaker. We will also cover details on creating a Hedgehog Highway in the neighbourhood, there will be hedgehog-themed crafts, a raffle, cake and plant sale, and more.
