Did you know that Tetelas are the only masa-shaped antojo that is made in Mexico? Found in the Mixtec area of Oaxaca during special town celebrations, these tri-fold masa pockets pre-date the Spanish and are often stuffed with cheese and cooked on a comal until crispy.
Learn the process of mixing and forming masa into these traditional Tetelas, stuffed with savory beans and queso fresco.
