From our host:
The constellation of the Pleaides, the 7 sisters, is well known throughout the world. All cultures have mythology and deep meaning applied to this bright star cluster. For the Celts, the end of the harvest season and the beginning of Winter began when the Pleaides rose high into the sky above the horizon. This event takes place this year on November 7th, 2 days after November Full Moon. For the Greeks, these bright stars represent the 7 Sisters of Pleione (from whom they get their name) and their father Atlas, who’s bright star shines brightly next to the 7 sisters, along with that of Pleione. During this solemn rite you will be meeting with one of the sisters ro the Mother, according to your needs, to seek her counsel. 8 Priestesses have stepped forward to facilitate this experience, and to embody the energies of these 8 bright star sisters and their Mother.
The Mother, Pleione who’s star is overshadowed by her husband’s bright star, Atlas, represents the concept of being overshadowed, and also of Motherhood.
Alcyone: is the leader, the queen of the sisters, and is known for her strength.
Maia: The eldest and most beautiful is associated with solitude.
Electra: Is known for her luminosity and beauty.
Taygeta: Is strong in nature, with an independent spirit.
Celaeno: Who is was said, was struck by lightning and left disabled, helps one to have the courage to face inherent weakness and fragility.
Asterope: May be of assistance in increasing one’s luminosity and focus on higher ideals.
Merope: Who never got over her Father’s death, will teach you about grief.
Join Wellyssa Spellsong and friends for a powerful and solemn rite, opening ourselves to the gentle wisdom of the Pleiades, as they rise to their highest point in the sky this very night, on November 7th. The 8 Priestesses will remain anonymous - an offering to honor their gift to you in this rite, would be appropriate, but not required. This rite is not suitable for those under 18.
we look forward to seeing you there!
See you there!
