About this Event
Join Us for Week 3 of the Heart to Heart Series: What the Tongue Reveals about your Heart
The Heart to Heart Series continues by exploring how one of the most overlooked aspects of our daily lives — our words— directly shapes the heart, our relationships, and our spiritual health.
In this session, we reflect on the power of speech and how the tongue is a mirror of the heart. Words can purify and heal, or they can harm, poison, and distance us from Allah and from one another. Through both spiritual and psychological lenses, this week invites attendees to become more conscious of how they speak, why they speak, and the impact their words leave behind.
Speakers:
Imam Abdullah Kalantan
Community imam, educator, and PhD researcher in Public Health, combining Islamic knowledge with practical guidance on purification of the heart and character.
Areej Arif
Registered psychologist based in New Zealand, Areej brings a culturally responsive and holistic approach to understanding the psychological and emotional impact of speech. Her work bridges mental wellbeing, relationships, and spiritual health, helping individuals build healthier inner and outer lives.
