Monday, June 8 at 5:30 pm the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood Association will have a social at Kingdom Coop (AKA Hope Community) at 2005 Ave T. Enter through the back, under the fire escape. We will provide pizza. You are welcome to bring other treats if you want, but they aren’t required. We hope to see you there! This is a good chance to check out the association without having to sit through a meeting. 🙂What HOLNA is:
1. A group of neighbors who care about and look out for each other.
2. A monthly meeting where we invite speakers on topics that neighbors request.
3. A way for us to work together to improve the neighborhood through things like alley cleanups.
4. The way that the city contacts our neighborhood for things like Neighborhood Night Out, Party in the Park, cleanup days where you can get rid of junk too big to go in your dumpster, and grants for neighborhood projects.
What HOLNA is not:
1. We do not make rules for the people who live in the neighborhood.
2. We do not charge dues (although we do have a contribution box if anyone wants to do that).
3. We are not in your business.
