REMEMBER & CELEBRATE
Families will have the opportunity to remember their babies in several ways during the event...
-Spend time in the Memory Tent writing a note to your baby. Bring a photo or other memory item to pin alonside those of other families
-Build Your Own Bouquet adding your baby's name or nickname to the bouquet
-Raise your flowers in remembrance during the reading of baby names
-Explore our Photo Opportunities with unique ways to incorporate your baby in the family photo!
-Take a Remembrance Lap around the park as we honor our babies together.
In addition to these opportunities to remember, we'll have activities including lawn games, the Imagination Playground and more! Each family will receive a SWAG bag with additional memory items and resources (all pre-registered families are guaranteed a bag, additional bags are available while supplies last).
• Who can attend? Everyone is welcome. The event itself is free. Those pre-registering are guaranteed some additional goodies in our SWAG bags so that is a great plan. We'll have activities for all ages. You can even bring the dog as long as they are friendly.
• What time? The event will take place from 11am - 1pm. Families arriving early or staying longer may enjoy the park but should not anticipate the ability to partake in event activities before or after this time. Remarks will begin at 12:15 with Flower Raise & Remembrance Lap as a group to follow
• What can I eat? The park books food trucks with lunch options available for purchase.
• What is the bathroom situation like? Heartland of America Park has permanent, non portable, bathrooms on site near where our main activities will take place!
• What should I bring? Yourself! Loved ones you want to remeber and celebrate with. A baby photo or item you'd like to pin in the memorial tent. Your weighted bear if your family has one.
How do I get there and Where can I park? There are many ways to reach Heartland of America Park. We'll gather in the 8th Street Plaza at the intersection of 8th and Douglas right next to a bus stop and nearby bike shar stations. Parking is available metered on the surround streets or in nearby parking garages. Check out The Riverfront's directions and parking resources for more info at https://theriverfrontomaha.com/visit-the-riverfront/heartland-of-america-park/
