About this Event
Join us for a powerful and inspiring afternoon at the Fannie Lou Hamer Legacy Luncheon, hosted by the Women of Color Nebraska Caucus.
This special event will take place on Saturday, October 5th, at 12:00pm at the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Omaha, NE and will feature guest speakers, performances, and a delicious meal.
We are honored to welcome this year’s special guest speaker, Rena Evers-Everette, daughter of Civil Rights icons Medgar and Myrlie Evers. Her presence and words will resonate deeply as we reflect on the enduring legacy of her parents' fight for justice and equality.
During the luncheon, we will also recognize eight extraordinary women community humanitarians who have made a significant impact through their acts of kindness and dedication to improving lives. Their commitment to service embodies the spirit of Fannie Lou Hamer, whose legacy of activism and courage continues to inspire us all.
We look forward to you joining us for an uplifting experience celebrating the remarkable women who are making a difference in our local community.
Together, let’s honor the past, uplift the present, and inspire the future.
