Tuesday Wellbeing SeminarsHealing Trauma and the Nervous System- Ancient wisdom for modern resilience
Stress and struggle leave their mark on both body and mind, sometimes in ways we can’t easily undo. Just as knots form in the body, impressions and tensions accumulate in the mind. While we can’t change the past, the Bhagavad-gita teaches that we can shape our future—what we choose to cultivate now carries us forward.
In this one-hour workshop, we’ll explore how philosophical and spiritual wisdom can help us rise above the tangles of trauma and anxiety. Through practical insights, open discussion, and guidance from the Gita’s philosophy, we’ll look at how to build resilience—not only by steadying the nervous system, but by exploring the deeper self beyond the changing body and mind.
Meet your host, Sivananda
Sivananda’s background is in both science and music, holding a Master's Degree in Data Science, a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a long history of playing and performing on the double bass. His passion for philosophy, music, good food and community attracted him to the bhakti lifestyle. Having studied and practiced the science of the ‘self’ for six years now, he thrives on drawing insights from contemporary science and combining it with yoga wisdom to encourage others to explore new perspectives.
