Government House is the 1910 home of the Governor-General, and its site and buildings have a rich history. Guided tours include the house and gardens.Our visitor centre team will be running 2 hour public tours of the house and grounds with a specific heritage focus. We will be incorporating the pre-Government House history of the grounds, including the 1873 Mt View Lunatic Asylum. Specially curated heritage items will be on display in the house and visitor centre.
Tea and coffee will be available before the tour.
