Islamic Women's Council of New Zealand are pleased to invite you to 'Healing Hearts: A Stronger Sisters Community' is a deeply reflective and restorative workshop designed for sisters seeking emotional healing, spiritual grounding, and a stronger connection with Allah through the guidance of the Qur’an led by Ustazah Liyana Musfirah!

Join us for an intimate 2-hour workshop exploring 6 powerful reminders the Qur’an teaches us when life feels heavy, uncertain, or emotionally overwhelming. Through heartfelt discussions, Qur’anic reflections, and practical emotional tools, sisters will be guided through themes of tawakkul, self-worth, burnout, shame, healing, and emotional reliance upon Allah.
Together, we will reflect on questions many sisters silently carry:
• How do I cope when my du’a feels unanswered?
• How do I trust Allah when life has not gone the way I planned?
• How do I rebuild myself after heartbreak, burnout, or disappointment?
• Why does my heart still feel empty even after achieving worldly goals?
• How do I return to Allah after feeling distant?
This workshop will cover:
✨ Learning tawakkul when life does not go your way
✨ Rebuilding self-worth through the Qur’an
✨ Navigating emotional burnout and spiritual exhaustion
✨ Developing healthy emotional reliance upon Allah
✨ Healing from guilt, shame, and spiritual distance
✨ Understanding the emptiness of dunya and finding peace through akhirah-focused living
By the end of the workshop, sisters will:
• Learn 6 emotional-spiritual coping frameworks rooted in the Qur’an
• Understand how to process pain Islamically without suppressing emotions
• Gain practical tools for navigating heartbreak, disappointment, burnout, and confusion
• Develop a more emotionally connected relationship with Allah
• Leave feeling spiritually grounded, emotionally lighter, and deeply understood
