A core member of the Metalheadz family and long-time resident at the legendary Blue Note sessions, Bailey became known for deep, forward-thinking sets that balanced soul, science and system pressure. His early tape packs and studio mixes, including the much-revered Intelligent Drum Bass cassette, are now regarded as essential documents — capturing pivotal moments in the genre’s development and showcasing his ability to connect eras, styles and moods into a coherent journey.
Beyond the club, Bailey played a crucial role in pushing drum & bass into wider consciousness through his decade-long tenure on BBC Radio 1Xtra, while continuing to champion underground talent via his Intabeats platform.
