- Nominate your tree(s) and let us know how many and guide of their size so we can allocate a suitable picking group OR
- Donate your olives to us (they must be picked Sat 20th April to maintain our award winning quality)
We will then allocate your group a suitable tree.
Celebrating its 11th year, the North Perth Primary P & C annual fundraiser Harvest6006 Olive Oil will be held over the Aprl 21st and 22nd.
11 years ago, the North Perth Primary School P & C discovered that money really does grow on trees! An idea cooked up between local Mums saw the school and wider community turn out one weekend to pick olives from trees around the neighbourhood. The fruit was pressed into delicious oil which was then sold as a fundraiser. Taking something that often ended up in green waste or staining the foot path, and made something delicious and saleable.
The unique fundraiser has become a popular event in the school’s calendar, raising much needed funds four school. It has taught our kids how to take something from waste and turn it into something of value. It has connected school families and local community members who both offer up their trees and those who pick the produce. The olive oil also celebrates the rich culture of the area, all while proudly featuring the North Perth 6006 postcode.
Following the harvest and pressing weekend, Harvest 6006 Olive Oil will then be available for say in May 2024.
