Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally.
We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas.
Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink?
Your Volunteer Hosts
Paul Haslam is passionate about helping to protect the planet’s climate and biodiversity for generations to come. He is the Climate Change Champion for North Yorkshire Council (and NYC councillor for Bilton and Nidd Gorge), and understands the significant impact that SMEs can deliver in this challenge.
Paul is an ESG coach to businesses, helping senior executives understand the implications of ESG reporting and the opportunity of the circular economy in their sector, which then allows them to formulate their own ESG strategy that eventually becomes part of business as usual. As a former FTSE 250 CEO, Paul knows that a business cannot be sustainable without making a profit but highlights the importance of understanding that a business cannot thrive without looking after its people and the planet where much of its resources come from.
