Who is Dr. Danielle Cox?
Dr. Danielle Cox has been a leader in the nonprofit and educational access spaces for over 20 years. She currently serves as CEO of Oliver Scholars, a 40 year old education and leadership development organization in New York City. In 2023, Crain's New York named her among New York's Notable Black Leaders. Her 1028 TEDTalk on The Forgotten Middle has garnered over 2M views. Dr. Cox currently serves as Board Secretary of Everyday Democracy, an organization devoted to democracy and civic engagement, and as Board Chair of The New York Women's Foundation. She received her BA in English Literature and History with a concentration in Black Studies from Swarthmore College and earned her MA, Ed.M and Ed.D. degrees from Teachers College, Columbia University.
