Harmonium Workshop - Learn about 19th c. Keyboards and Try Them Out

The workshop will highlight several antique foot-pump harmoniums built in Europe and America -- how they were constructed, the type of sound they produced, the unique music written for them by both Europeans and Americans, and how they are played. Participants will have the opportunity to try out, themselves the onsite instruments. At the conclusion of the Workshop, Artis Wodehouse and George Wiese will present a joint concert on the grandest of the harmoniums -- the Mustel Art Harmonium, and the Mason & Hamlin Liszt Organ. Organized by Artis Wodehouse and sponsored by the Historic Keyboard Society of North America.
