CHRISTIAN GARRICK díjnyertes brit jazzhegedűs, zeneszerző és zenekarvezető. Számos szólóalbumot készített, amelyek közül az egyik az év jazzalbuma lett. Londonban a Royal Academy of Music, a Royal College of Music és a Guildhall School jazzhegedű-professzora.
Stéphane Grappelli, Stuff Smith és Jean-Luc Ponty nyomdokain haladva Christian jelentősen hozzájárult ahhoz, hogy a jazzhegedű új lendületet kapjon a 21. században. Nem véletlen, hogy a hegedűsztár Nigel Kennedy (akivel számos alkalommal játszott együtt) Európa egyik legjobbjának nevezte.
Találékony, virtuóz játéka olyan művészek oldalán is hallható volt, mint Wynton Marsalis, Biréli Lagrène, Dolly Parton vagy Van Morrison. Christian vezeti a legendás Budapest Café Orchestra-t is.
A film és televízió világában szintén nagyra tartják: közreműködött többek között a BBC Poldark, valamint a Nyomorultak, A hobbit, Csokoládé és Chicago című filmek zenéjén.

A legendás New York-i Blue Note-ban és a Detroit Jazz Fesztiválon is elsöprő sikert aratott East Gipsy Band zongorista vezetője BALÁZS JÓZSEF, a középgeneráció egyik legtehetségesebb billentyűse, a Krakkói Jazz Juniors Versenyen a legjobb szólista díját nyerte el, de bátyja zenekarának is egyik húzóembere, amellett, hogy modern jazz triója kielégíti a legkényesebb igényeket is. Mind az etno-jazz világában, mind a műfaj fősodrában is ragyogó zenész. A ritmusszekció ideális a kirobbanóan virtuóz PECEK LAKATOS KRISZTIÁNnal a bőgőn és BALÁZS ELEMÉRrel a dobon.

CHRISTIAN GARRICK is an award winning British jazz violinist, composer and bandleader. He has recorded numerous solo albums, one of which was named Jazz Album of the Year. He is a professor of jazz violin at London’s Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and the Guildhall School.
Following in the footsteps of Stéphane Grappelli, Stuff Smith and Jean Luc Ponty, Christian has played a significant role in giving jazz violin new momentum in the 21st century – no wonder violin superstar Nigel Kennedy (with whom he has performed many times) has called him one of the best in Europe.
His inventive, virtuosic playing has been heard alongside artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Biréli Lagrène, Dolly Parton and Van Morrison. Christian also leads the legendary Budapest Café Orchestra.
He is highly regarded in the world of film and television as well, having contributed to the music of the BBC’s Poldark, as well as Les Misérables, The Hobbit, Chocolat and Chicago.

Having made his name in his elder brother’s band, he is now a bandleader in his own right and a terrific force to reckon with on his instrument. He is the leader of the East Gipsy Band that brought the house down in New York’s Blue Note and at the Detroit Jazz Festival.
The terrific rhythm section with the virtuosic bass-player, KRISZTIÁN PECEK LAKATOS and ELEMÉR BALÁZS, the best drummer in his country.
