About this Event
The Salsa Walking Tour in Spanish Harlem with Professor M, is a political, social, musical, culture and migration timeline. We connect the more than 900 thousand migrants from Puerto Ricans in the 1930s to 1980s in NYC with the revolution of music, civil rights and the musical genre of salsa movement. We will visit these ever changing communities and walk among some of the iconic locations connected to the salsa evolution and resilience, from block parties to mainstream economic phenomenon. This walking tour will be guided with the writer and Historian Profesor Raul Moris. It’s a 2 to 3 hour walk along the streets of El Barrio with more than 23 stops including museum and food options. Be prepared to walk and ask all the questions.
