About this Event
In this class we will learn how to make a hard wood dovetail tool box.
You will be able to store all your small woodworking tools and saws in this box that will be specific to each students needs. This will be a great tool box for both woodworkers and artists.
In this class you will use all the tools need to process the lumber including the jointer, planer, Table Saw and miter saw. You will be able to learn how to properly cut dovetails by hand and by bandsaw/scroll saw. The design of the tool box is flexible.
Each student who takes the class will be asked to bring their own wood for this project.
Wave Pool’s woodshop gets a 10 percent discount at Frank Paxton Lumber company in Madeira. All students who sign up for the class will get a follow-up email to describe what you will need wood wise for the class. It will be on the smaller end, (so likely around 4 board feet for reference.)
Please come to the first class with an understanding of how your design would suit your needs. I can talk individual with students in the first class to help them pin down their designs as our first class will mostly be processing the wood.
