The Harambeecouver Afro Arts and Reconciliation Festival 2026 is a full-day cultural celebration, running from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, led by People of African Descent and rooted in community, creativity, and inclusion. The festival brings together diverse communities to celebrate African arts, culture, and heritage while promoting dialogue, understanding, and reconciliation.
Through live music, dance, storytelling, visual arts, fashion, and interactive workshops, the festival will showcase the richness and diversity of African traditions and contemporary expressions. It will as well create space/platform for cross-cultural exchange, highlighting shared values of unity, resilience, and social connection.
The event is designed to promote community cohesion, amplify underrepresented voices, and create opportunities for artists, youth, and community members engaging them to learn, and collaborate. When we center African cultural contributions and encouraging meaningful participation from all communities, through Harambeecouver, we strengthen social inclusion and advances reconciliation in a vibrant and accessible public setting.
