Join us for a clothing swap at Union Market ! Bring gently worn clothes, accessories, shoes of any gender and season from your closet.
About this Event

Please be mindful to only bring items in good, wearable condition. No holes, stains or damage. MAX OF 20 ITEMS. No event tshirts (rec sports leagues, marathons, reunions) and no underwear or socks, no hangers, plastic or cardboard.

FAQS:

Q: How does it work?

A: Lay your clothes wherever you find an open spot and start browsing! It is not a one-for-one trade and there is no bartering. Please only bring clothes, accessories and shoes in good, wearable condition. No holes, stains or damage and no underwear or socks!


Q: What type of clothing will be there?

A: It all depends on what people bring. we do not know what gender, size or season people will be bringing until day of


Q: Is it organized by type of clothing in any way?

A: It is not, unfortunately it is very hard to have people come with their clothes organized by shirts, pants, gender etc. People also pick up and drop clothes wherever that even if it started organized it would not be able to stay organized!


Q: Do we need to bring our own tarps?

A: no! we will provide tarps to lay your clothes on but if you have any unwanted tarps, sheets or blankets we would love to use them!


Q: Is this a free event?

A: Yes, it is a completely free event!


Q: Are you open to collaborating on this event?

A: Please reach out to learn more about sponsorship packages


Q: Is there parking available?

A: The neighborhood has both free and paid parking. You can use the Union Market parking lot for free.


Q: What are the closest metro stops?

A: NoMa


Q: What happens to the leftover clothes?

A: All the clothes will be donated to our swap partner So What Else Org.



These terms and conditions are set forth between the organizers of this event, the Disco Loft LLC, Clothes Emma Wore LLC, Evolve Vintage LLC, and Thrift Store Jor (the “Organizers” or “Party”) and you (also referred to as “Party”), and collectively referred to herein as “the Parties.” By registering for this event,you agree to the following:

Age Requirement: You must be 18 years of age or older to attend this event without being accompanied by a legal adult. By registering for this event, you represent that you are 18 years of age or older, or you are a legal guardian registering on behalf of a minor participant.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: THE ORGANIZERS OF THIS EVENT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOST OR STOLEN GOODS. YOU AGREE THAT YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFEKEEPING OF YOURPROPERTY. FURTHER, EACH PARTY AGREES THAT NEITHER PARTY SHALL BE LIABLE TO THE OTHER PARTY (OR TO ANY PERSON CLAIMING RIGHTS DERIVED FROM THAT PARTY’S RIGHTS) FOR ANY INJURIES(FATAL OR OTHERWISE) OR DAMAGES, INCLUDING INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, EXCEPT THOSE INJURIES AND DAMAGES RESULTING FROM A PARTY’S GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONCONDUCT.

Photo Release: You grant permission to the Organizers of this event to use your image in both photo and video for use of media and publication, including use in social media, websites, magazines, emails, newsletters and any other media publications. You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photos or videos that might be used now or in the future, and you waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from the use of your image. You represent that you are 18 years of age or older and are competent to contract in your own name or that you are the legal guardian of a minor participant with the authority to consent to this release on their behalf. You further represent that you have read the releasecarefully before agreeing to the terms and conditions.

COVID-19 Policy: The health and safety of all participants are of paramount importance to the Organizers. If you are experiencing any COVID-related symptoms, we kindly request that you do not attend the event. While we do not mandate mask-wearing, if you prefer to wear a mask, that is strongly encouraged.
