Join us for our SMSH Alumni Association kickoff fundraiser to the 2024-25 SMSH Homecoming Week with 'Hansonoke’ Night! A special karaoke evening with our former choir director, Mr. Mark Hanson (SMSH 88-90). Mr. Hanson's time at SMSH was short, but it had a significant impact on the students who were lucky to be his first, fresh out of the University of Miami's Master in Music Education program. He was actually pulled in to fill an unexpected vacancy in the SMSH choir director role by our beloved first SMSH principal, Dr. Warren G. Burchell. I love the image of Dr. Burchell hearing the problem, marching down the street, and pulling the best they had for his students—classic Dr. B. 💪🏻👴🏻🐍
Mr. Hanson is currently a Teaching Specialist for the U.S. Department of Defense and is very excited to see and hear all his beloved Cobra Singers. 🎤🐍
Embrace the spirit of giving back and paying it forward by adding a little extra to your affordably priced tickets. Your generous contribution will support SMSH Alumni Association department grants, scholarships, and Teacher Appreciation Day. Tickets are $10 at the door or $13 using any cash application.
