Learn about theater organ and silent film accompaniment from a master of the craft, Dennis Scott. This intimate workshop will be adaptable for those familiar with church organs as well as those who just know piano.
It will include a basic explanation and demonstration of the function of the Senate's unique Mighty Wurlitzer 4/34 theater pipe organ, as well as the opportunity to sit down and play under Dennis' supervision
This event is free. However, if you would like to make a donation, we thank you for your support! The Senate Theater is owned and operated by the Detroit Theater Organ Society, an all-volunteer non-profit organization. All donations from this event will go towards maintaining and preserving the Senate and its Mighty Wurlitzer theater organ.
Parking is available in our gated lot, on Gilbert, and Michigan Avenue
