Join the YMCA of Greater Houston for our Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service as we come together to honor Dr. King’s legacy through action and service.MLK Day of Service is a National Day of Service that calls on individuals, families, and organizations to work together to strengthen our communities. On this day, the MD Anderson Family YMCA along with volunteers will help beautify and refresh the outdoor grounds at Second Christian Church, creating a more welcoming and well-maintained space for the church and surrounding neighborhood.
Volunteer activities will include:
• Refreshing and redesigning flower beds
• Planting seasonal flowers
• Trimming shrubs and removing weeds
• Cleaning and improving the building perimeter
This is a meaningful opportunity to give back, connect with neighbors, and live out the spirit of service that Dr. King championed.

• Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
• Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor work
