Make a Mug with DH makers
Join Holly from D H Makers for a hands-on pottery workshop at the State Library, where you’ll learn the fundamentals of slab building to create your own handmade stoneware mug. You’ll be guided through shaping, constructing, and adding texture or decorative details to your piece, with plenty of room to get creative. Perfect for beginners and anyone wanting to slow down and make something beautiful by hand.

This event is perfect for beginners, creatives and anyone interested in exploring ceramics in a relaxed and supportive environment.
What's included?
Your handmade piece will be glazed and fired for you to collect after the workshop. Your mug will be ready for pick up 3 weeks after your workshop date.
What should I bring and wear?
Everything will be supplied. Just come as you are and wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

Holly is one half of the ceramic duo behind D H Makers, a pottery studio based in Yeerongpilly. Her work focuses on creating functional yet beautiful ceramic forms designed to bring artistry and intention into everyday rituals
DH Makers are a creative studio passionate about sharing the joy of ceramics through hands - on workshops. With a focus on creativity, craftsmanship and community. In a relaxed and supportive environment they encourage everyone to explore clay at their own pace.

Workshop Cancellation Policy:
Please note this workshop can be cancelled by artisan due to unforeseen circumstances or if minimum numbers are not reached - this decision is made between 2-7 days before the workshop date so don't delay in buying your ticket! In the event of the workshop being cancelled by artisan, participants will be refunded in full and as soon as possible.
Participant Cancellation Policy:
Workshops have limited spaces and involve preparation by the facilitator. Bookings cancelled up to two weeks prior to the start of the workshop may be refunded, but a 20% non-refundable administration fee will be deducted. Bookings cancelled within two weeks of the workshop commencing will not be refunded. Refunds are to be processed by the attendee through Humanitix.
Workshop Transfer Policy:
You are also welcome to transfer your booking to another person prior to the workshop commencing. Please confirm this arrangement 24 hours prior to the workshop in writing to [email protected].
