About this Event
Most homes are built around assumptions. The double garage. The formal living room. The fourth bedroom. Features included not because anyone asked for them, but because they're expected.
Tamica Lewis designs around people instead.
As construction costs continue to rise, the case for rethinking the standard floor plan has never been stronger. The homes that work best aren't the ones that tick every conventional box. They're the ones built around how the people inside them actually live.
In this session, Tamica will show you how to identify what genuinely matters in your home, where floor area is being wasted on spaces you don't need, and how smarter, more deliberate planning creates homes that are more personal, more efficient, and more genuinely yours.
What you'll take away
- How to identify which spaces and features genuinely improve daily life and which are included simply because they're expected
- Why designing away from standard floor plans and resale assumptions leads to better homes
- How to reduce unnecessary floor area and design spaces that serve multiple purposes, without sacrificing comfort or liveability
