Hamilton County, Ohio Library Lock InLibrary Lock-In Make sure you consider attending the 4 October Genealogy Lock-In at the downtown Main Library. We have not held this event since COVID and completion of the Library’s renovation. Members say it has always been a rewarding event. You will have the Genealogy and Local History Department all to yourself (and other genealogists) with people to assist you if you request it. We will have snacks and drinks. We plan to have a few short gatherings (if you choose to attend one) on our lineage societies and other topics. Even if you are at the Library earlier that day, everyone must exit the Library at 6:00 p.m. Our event begins at 6:30, and you will enter at a specific door (details later) by 7:00. You may leave at any time or stay until 11:30 p.m. Most people park at the City of Cincinnati parking garage, which you enter on the south side of 9th street between Vine and Race. Groups can go back to the garage at the same time, as an extra safety precaution. Once you leave the Library, you cannot re-enter. The Lock-In is a great time to do research and get to know other local researchers. Information about registration will be emailed to members.
